Classic Pre-War Walk Up

Pros:
Great location
No major bug or rodent issue
Cons:
- Stellar Management is AWFUL
- Lots of apartments are filled with massive families (my neighboring apartment has 12 people living in it, 4 parents and 8 (!) children) It’s LOUD.
- Absolutely no building or apartment maintenance
- Super is absolutely hopeless - massive language barrier for English speakers, and also just really not able to resolve issues of any kind.
- tons of heat and hot water issues. Apt was 55-60 degrees all winter.
Advice to owner:
Maintain your apartments better, don’t raise the rent to the legal max every year if you’re not doing anything to maintain the building.
