Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on openigloo.
Tenant feedback on 615 West 183 Street reflects a mixed experience. The building is praised for its convenient subway access, quiet street location, and friendly neighbors. Positive notes include cleanliness and well-functioning heat in some units, plus attentive superintendents. However, many renters report persistent issues such as roach infestations, poor heating in certain apartments, inadequate pest control, faulty plumbing, and outdated appliance replacements. Management is frequently criticized for slow responsiveness, inaccurate rent billing, and cost-cutting on repairs and renovations. Laundry facilities and water pressure receive some favorable comments, yet noise levels and elevator size concerns persist. Overall, renters advise management to improve maintenance quality and owner engagement to enhance living conditions.

Declining quality of life
Former Tenant
Pros:
I like the location. Close to everything but on a quiet street (facing Wadsworth Avenue).
Cons:
They only make repairs for new tenants. Once you’re in, you are stuck with whatever you have and if the stove or fridge breaks, they replace it with an old, scratched up stove that looks like they found on the curb. Management and their accounting department are awful. The rent bills are never accurate.
Advice to owner:
Make decent repairs and replace your management company.
