Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on openigloo.
Recent reviews of 24 Thayer Street in Manhattan highlight a mix of advantages and significant challenges. Tenants appreciate the building's kind superintendent, timely owner responsiveness, modern apartment features, and convenient location near amenities and the subway. However, noise levels are a frequent concern due to thin walls and busy street activity, compounded by persistent street-level drug dealing and safety issues. Pest problems, especially cockroach infestations, and occasional garbage management lapses were also noted. The building is not rent stabilized except in some cases, and while some tenants recommend it for the price and space, others warn about security and neighborhood disturbances, urging management to address these urgent concerns.
