5th Floor is Best
Former Tenant
Pros:
Even though this building is located near Dyckman St & a fire station, the 5th floor is very quiet. It is extremely close to the train and the super, Francisco, is awesome. He is always very attentive to your needs and has worked in the building for many years. The building is very close to a grocery store and the A train stop at Dyckman Street.
Cons:
During covid, there were many parties in the building with loud music. On occasion I have found beer cans & cigarette butts in the hallway, but Fransisco comes quickly to clean things up. There is no laundry in the building. I am most displeased with the garbage area. The garbage man, Gavi, does a great job taking care of the garbage. However the entrance to the garbage area is not locked with a door. Therefore, people from the street often enter and urinate on the floor near the garbage cans and the area is not always clean. Some tenants have ceiling fans that can be irritating if your bed sits directly above where the ceiling fan has been mounted on the floor below due to the buzzing sound it makes.
Advice to owner:
Please add a key & lock door to the garbage area so that people from the street cannot access our garbage bins and urinate on the ground. Also help us with tenants who play music too loudly inside the building.
