Review Summary for 1795 Riverside Drive
Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on openigloo.
Tenants at 1795 Riverside Drive appreciate the building's spacious apartments, generally well-maintained common areas, and strong water pressure. Many long-term residents foster a sense of community, and neighbors are mostly pleasant. However, noise remains a frequent issue, particularly from onsite daycares and street traffic, impacting building tranquility. Maintenance and management responsiveness are commonly criticized for being slow or inaccessible, with pest problems notably in the basement areas. Rent stabilization adds appeal, though some renters express concerns about poor renovation quality and inadequate garbage management. Overall, while the building offers good space and community, improvements in noise control, pest management, and owner responsiveness would greatly enhance tenant satisfaction.

Lacking peace, quality, and maintenance.
Former Tenant
Pros:
Spacious apartments, common areas maintained fairly well by building maintenance, have not dealt with pests often.
Cons:
Super is very inaccessible so maintenance requests are hard to get completed. There are two day cares in the building that are very loud and disruptive during the day. One of the streets the building overlooks (Henshaw St) is often very loud, dirty, and overall obnoxious. Neighbors can occasionally be loud. Apartment renovations were done with low-quality materials that are already deteriorating.
Advice to owner:
The super needs to respond and complete requests better and the daycare needs to be held to the same (or higher) standards as residents for respecting the sanctity of the building.

Nice but be aware
Former Tenant
Pros:
Love most of the neighbors. Many are long time residents. Building is usually clean.
Cons:
Basement is always full of bugs, especially the laundry area.
Advice to owner:
Stop making modern apartments out of pre war beauties!!
