Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on openigloo.
Recent reviews of 250 East 40 Street in Manhattan praise its prime Murray Hill location, cleanliness, and well-maintained amenities like the gym, pool, and in-building laundry. The building’s staff, especially the doormen, receive positive remarks for helpfulness and politeness. Residents appreciate pest-free units, strong water pressure, and a community of working professionals. However, noise—particularly from traffic, a nearby fire station, and ongoing construction—is a common concern, affecting sleep quality. Some highlight outdated facilities and occasional owner unresponsiveness, given its condominium status. Overall, it suits those valuing convenience and amenities but less so for quiet seekers.

Great location in Murray Hill
Former Tenant
Pros:
Very clean building, never saw a single pest the whole time I was there. Great staff, very polite and helpful. Full grocery store direct across the road and a great convineance store on the ground floor. In building laundry, gym and swimming pool with full-time lifeguard.
Cons:
Right on the corner of 40th St and 2nd Ave so you are going to have to get used to traffic noise at night.
