Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on openigloo.
Recent reviews for 200 West 60 Street highlight the building's excellent location in Lincoln Square, close to Central Park and Lincoln Center. Tenants praise the friendly, helpful doormen and clean, well-maintained common areas with amenities like a 24-hour gym and bike room. However, many report persistent issues including frequent and noisy construction, occasional lack of hot water and heat, and recurring pest problems. Noise from nearby hospital sirens and poor building acoustics are common complaints. Management responsiveness is mixed, with some finding them unhelpful, especially regarding rent hikes and renovation disruptions. Despite drawbacks, many still recommend the building for its staff and location.

Nice location, horrible construction noise
Former Tenant
Pros:
Loved living at 200 W 60th. Great location, good building management and doormen/porters, and overall a very safe experience.
Cons:
Noise. Noise. Noise. For the 5+ years I lived in this building, the constant noise of construction made me want to bash my head in with a jackhammer. The building acoustics are terrible if you live adjacent to a stairwell and construction noise happening on ANY floor will travel right into your apartment. Also, the hallway acoustics are terrible and you can hear doors slamming all day and night! It sounds like a hotel on Planet Construction.

No hot water or heat multiple times. Cockroaches and mice in the gym
Former Tenant
Pros:
The doormen are nice. The neighbours are nice.
Cons:
No water or heat which is illegal. Cockroaches and mice in the gym, playroom and also at a lot of apartments. Renovation happening in most floors so constant noise. A lot of people smoke in their apartments and the elevators smell and also the floors. Look at the bad yelp reviews
