Loud and poorly built. One of the worst buildings I've lived in

Pros:
Laundry room has great washer and dryers.
Cons:
This building is old and poorly built. You will share very old floor joists with your nextdoor neighbor. This means that footsteps are not only loud, but will also make your floor shake and vibrate. This is really really unpleasant. All this in addition to the noise you will have to endure from your upstairs neighbors.
Conversation-level noise is not too bad, though.
Management can be difficult to contact. It is impossible to contact anyone (other than the front desk) by phone. I go to their office just to speak to someone. Best bet is to send an email. Typical email response time is about 2 weeks. Overall, they're not the worst, but they're far from the best.
Advice to owner:
Renovate the building and pick up your phones
