Positive experience in this apartment
Pros
The landlord/management office is very responsive and will make repairs asap. Had the typical issues of old building (clogged drains) but no rodents. They were quick to help.
Cons
Landlord pushes people to leave a few days before the lease is up.
420 East 11th
Pros
- Nice sized apartments for the area - Conveniently located in a quiet area of East Village - Accessible rooftop - Rear apartments have private balconies - Family run management - Friendly management & super(s) - Elevator in building - Apartments are made with care, not just cookie-cutter boxes with cheap walls - Basement with laundry
Cons
- Management is absolutely not afraid to raise rent, raised from $2,650 to $3,500 after one year. Now listing apartments for $4,000. Will not negotiate with tenants - Trash is rarely taken out and located in hallway - Double booked apartment when leaving (told new tenants they could move in early without telling us) - We had a rat climb up the toilet, minimal response to that happening - Tiny kitchen space (typical, but still) - Advertises 1 bedrooms as flex 2 bedrooms
Advice to the owners
Communicate any move-in conflicts with move-outs within lease.
