Nice Building with some Pro's and Cons
Pros
-clean building -no pest problems -great water pressure -nice leasing team -responsive to work orders -safe building -quiet
Cons
-building controls when the heat is turned over to AC and vice versa. There are always a few weeks out of the year where your apartment will be absurdly hot (this year mine was 95+ for a week), and mgmt refuses to turn on the AC -The costs for the apartments are pretty high compared to the rest of neighborhood. Yes, there is in unit laundry, but you can get a nicer building with better amenities nearby for the same price or less -The amenities are a mandatory extra fee on top of rent and while they are nice, they are pretty small -Only two elevators and one is also used as the service elevator, which means if anyone is moving in/out - there is only one elevator available for tenants. Long wait times. -The doormen are nice but don't expect the full service you would get at other buildings. I lived here for 2 years and never once had a door opened for me. Many of them sit on personal phone calls all day. There are a few who are really great that I will miss, though!
Advice to the owners
All in all, this is a nice starter building. I wouldn't call it "luxury" but it is definitely nicer than a walk up. The community and the neighbors are all awesome. Given some of the cons, I think they are pricing the units a little high, but I did enjoy my time living here.
Overall great place to live
Pros
Clean, updated, friendly responsive staff, great neighborhood
Cons
Expensive especially for the sq ft. The heat/AC is central so the building decides when to switch the building between heating and cooling which doesn’t always coincide with the weather outside. So come prepared with a space heater and cooling fan to compensate
