Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on openigloo.
Recent reviews for 625 West 57 Street highlight a pristine, modern building with top-notch amenities, attentive and friendly staff, and spacious, quiet apartments featuring beautiful views. Residents appreciate well-maintained common areas, great pest control, and responsive maintenance teams. Proximity to the Hudson River and Riverside Park adds to its appeal but the building’s location is relatively far from subway stations, though shuttle services and bus routes partially mitigate this. Noise near the Con Ed plant and among some student residents can be drawbacks. Rent renewals tend to be challenging with significant increases, and elevator wait times have been noted as an issue. Overall, it remains a highly recommended, well-managed option for those valuing amenities and tranquility despite higher costs and transportation distance.

Great building and community
Former Tenant
Pros:
Beautiful river views. Well-staffed. Building is clean and well-managed. Apartments are large and pin drop quiet. Lots of amenities. Neighbors are friendly. Great closet space. Very clean.
Cons:
Bike storage is vertical and a bit of a pain if you’re small or lack strength. It’s a bit of a walk to catch a train at Columbus. Shuttle helps, but it’s only during rush hour during the week.
Advice to owner:
More shuttle bus hours like other properties in the neighborhood.

Cons:
Located right next to the Con Ed Power plant, so noisy 24/7 Expect a high rent increase of at least $200 - $2000/month upon lease renewals, depending on various lease terms offered by the management
