Avoid like the plague
Former Tenant
Pros:
If you cant say anything nice then don't say anything.
Cons:
1. Rent overcharge - this is a rent-stabilized building and they are not abiding by the rules. 2. They will charge you illegal fees such as daily late fees, service animal fees, etc. 3. Management is rude, obnoxious, and unprofessional. 4. This building has a doorman/attended lobby on paper. In reality, on weekends or late nights either there is no one there or the person in the lobby is fast asleep. 5. When there is someone in the lobby it's one person and the cameras don't work. 6. During September the building is surrounded by the secret service and police. It's really annoying for residents. 7. No covid measures implement. 8. No notification email sent if a tenant has COVID. 9. Trash room is always a mess and recyclables are not picked up in a timely manner. 10. You will notice furniture in the hallway which is a fire hazard. Management doesn't care. 11. Mechanical vents in the bathrooms don't work. Rumor they were disabled as a cost-saving measure.
Advice to owner:
Get a professional person to run this place.

Poor amenities, elevators don’t work, management doesn’t care
Former Tenant
Pros:
Doormen are nice
Cons:
Elevators have been broken since the Fall (going on about 4 months), buildings ownership company doesn’t seem to have interest in fixing them but our rent checks still clear every month. Units are overpriced for what they offer, and rents continue to increase. Walls are thin, and the amenities are underwhelming.
Advice to owner:
Fix the elevators or provide your tenants with refunds (at least partial refunds) or let them out if their lease if you’re not going to hold up your end of the bargain.
