Flying bugs & broken windows
Former Tenant
Pros:
Staff at 7W21st is great!
Cons:
Mgmt is not responsive to broken windows. They claim “custom” windows will take 6 weeks min. To fix existing and known broken window at our move in without disclosing at time we signed lease. Took over two months to get a response and many requests to fix. Had to leave the unit. Known condition with flying bugs on many floors. Sprayed areas inside unit and “Closed” case. Bugs are still flying and Mgmt claims they are figuring it out.
Advice to owner:
Rent here is a lot and broken windows are Mgmt’s problem. You should have replacement windows readily available without placing the burden on tenants. Custom windows from Germany is your obligation. Do not tell tenant to increase the heat in the unit for two months to balance the window air coming in due to no weather stripping. And offer to pay for the increase in heat bill.
