Trustworthy Landord
Former Tenant
Pros:
Landlord is honest, responsive, and respectful. He fixes things promptly when asked. He rents to students and never asked me for my credit score. I’m in a 3 bedroom, so split between 3 roommates, rent is very low At $550/month. The kitchen is big for nyc with lots of cabinet space. Neighbors keep to themselves. Laundromat only 2 blocks away. Roof access. No pests.
Cons:
No doorman or anything so it is difficult to receive packages if you are not home to answer the door. No laundry in building. No air conditioning. No elevator. No closets. Neighbors like to smoke cigarettes in the stairwell. Stairwell needs some upkeep. Rent is deposited by paper check or cash—no way to do it online.
Advice to owner:
You’ve got a reputation among Fordham students for being a trustworthy landlord who provides affordable. Keep up the good work! It would be cool if we could set up a way to deposit the check electronically.
