Prepare for Inconveniences

Pros:
Very quiet neighbors and very little noise between walls
Cons:
Hot water and boiler goes out at least once a month if not more for at least a day or two and the owner pretty much never responds. The unit I lived in was so poorly maintained when I moved in the windows were not even fully attached to the frame of the walls and wasps had made nests in the space between. The sinks always leak and I never got the owner to actually fix my smoke detectors for an entire year and a half. He also said he would write me a recommendation I needed for my next apartment and completely ghosted me, so I never got it. The super is very nice but he is clearly overworked by the owner.
Advice to owner:
Take actual care of the building and respond to your tenants. If the water is going out that often there are major issues that need more than just a bandaid solution. Also don’t say you’ll do things for people and then never follow through or communicate.
