Pros:
I’ve really enjoyed living in this apartment building. The neighborhood is fantastic—safe, convenient, and full of charm. The building is always kept clean, the super is responsive and helpful, and the neighbors are friendly and respectful, which creates a great community feel.
Cons:
During the winter, the heat isn’t strong enough, and I’ve had to rely on a portable heater, which unfortunately increased my electric bill. My biggest issue, though, is the ongoing water bug infestation. These bugs manage to get in through the smallest cracks—I’ve found them in my bedroom, kitchen, and bathroom. Even though I live on a higher floor, they still make their way up, especially during the summer months. The basement seems to be a major source of the problem and is often filled with them. Although the exterminator visits regularly, whatever treatment is being used doesn’t seem effective. This issue clearly needs a more serious, long-term solution from management.
Advice to owner:
Please take the water bug infestation more seriously. While routine exterminator visits are appreciated, the current treatment clearly isn’t effective. Consider implementing a more aggressive, long-term pest control plan—such as sealing entry points in common areas and units, deep-cleaning the basement, and working with a specialized pest control company that targets water bugs specifically. Residents should also be informed of any steps being taken so they feel heard and supported. Addressing this issue thoroughly would greatly improve the living experience for everyone in the building.
