Overpriced even for Manhattan

If you toured with Metropolitan Property Group, the broker is lying to you about the space. Management are not willing to find a solution to the lack of heating in the bedroom and the rat presence. Rat infestation occured in this unit. The owner did nothing to fix the issue. There was never consistent heating in the bedroom despite the super's best efforts. The owners are unresponsive and unhelpful. I have not met them once. All complaints are dealt with through temporary solutions by the super because the owners don't care to come up with permanent solutions to urgent issues such as rat infestation and lack of heat. The property is technically on the fifth floor of a walk up since the first floor is up a flight of stairs. As of 1/11/2026, the apartment is listed for $3000. I paid $2600 during my two year lease. Furthermore, the realtors at Metropolitan Property Group are unprofessional and will not send updated lease agreements in a timely manner. For the last four months, I had no active lease and I had to remind them to send a new one to me after my first year. I suppose the sole benefit to this is that the owner will forget to raise the already overpriced rent each year.
Advice to the owners
Treat your property and tenants with some respect. It's clear that the owner cares only about collecting rent.
