Okay place to live
Former Tenant
Pros:
Location, affordable for the area, good starter NYC apartment
Cons:
The building is old and this leads to problems at times, water randomly changes temperature, owners have not kept the building up with the times

Great place to live for a few years, probably not a permanent home
Former Tenant
Pros:
Lots of young professionals, sons of the landlord are kind. In beautiful neighborhood on the perfect corner. Storage in the basement if you rent it.
Cons:
Saw roaches constantly, had a mouse problem. Seems like one side of building had a water pipe problem because some units/hallways had water damage. Landlord did not want to negotiate rent.
Advice to owner:
Better maintenance/holes being filled/painting between tenants.

Good for historic building
Former Tenant
Pros:
Central location, great neighborhood, storage units available (at a price)
Cons:
Water changes temperature constantly when showering, communal stairs are rarely cleaned, typical quirks of renting in an old building

Deja Vu All Over Again
Former Tenant
Pros:
Great neighborhood and nice people in the building. One of the owners responds quickly but...
Cons:
Heat rarely ever works. The “super” is an absolute joke and will yell at you if you ask why a repair was not done when promised. He almost killed everyone in the building when he pulled out that CO2 alarms when there was actually a CO2 leak in the building. Constantly reported the same issues but were only resolved with excuses.
