Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on openigloo.
Recent reviews for 131 Joralemon Street highlight its advantageous location, with proximity to amenities like a subway station and parks. Tenants appreciate the building's cleanliness, efficient garbage management, and responsive staff. However, thin walls lead to noise disturbances, occasional pest issues persist despite management efforts, and laundry facilities may require maintenance. While some find the heating uncontrollable, others praise the natural light in 2-bedroom units. Despite minor drawbacks like older appliances and small laundry rooms, residents generally approve the owner and recommend the building for its pet-friendly and peaceful environment.

Nice Apartment In An Amazing Location
Former Tenant
Pros:
The apartment is a nice size, but the closets are tiny. The building has an elevator and laundry. The super is very attentive and easy to contact. Neighbors are friendly and generally keep to themselves. Being in Brooklyn Heights and close to a subway station, Brooklyn bridge park, and Atlantic avenue is great. Overall decent comfortable building.
Cons:
The walls and floors are VERY thin. You can hear everything your neighbors do - walking normally, talking at a regular volume, etc. There are roach problems from time to time. Management tries to take care of it very quickly, but even with the pest control you will find bugs coming up from the drains often. There is a laundry room in the basement with 2 washers and 2 dryers but the washers often break down and are not extremely clean and smell. Can’t control the heat so it can get very hot during the winter months.
