Pros:
There are a lot of physical things to love about the apartment. The views, the space, elevator opening straight to your apartment, the location, your neighbors are really kind, and the super/front desk concierge are amazing.
Cons:
MONARCH MONARCH MONARCH. Monarch management is the WORST management I have ever worked with/rented from. From no running water repeatedly for days, elevators constantly being out of service (get ready to get stuck in the elevators or have to walk up 10+ flights), to just the apartment constantly breaking down, the list goes on and on, but the icing on the cake is the fact that your management will not respond to you AND will not fix anything for months on end. This building unfortunately was really badly built and the current management, Monarch, continues to barely put any money into this building. Nothing gets fixed only bandaged, which is extremely dangerous and obviously frustrating. I know inventory is limited around Brooklyn Heights, so if you choose to move here (I get it I even renewed my lease a couple of times), be prepared to be spending a minimum of 11k per month with nothing being repaired for months on end. Also be prepared to have the freights of your life in the elevator and bring comfortable walking shoes in case you need to go up the stairs.
