Unresponsive landlord, actively ignoring and withholding deposit after a year.

Cons
Building was poorly maintained and unclean, with a serious roach and mouse problem. Never received access to my mailbox for the duration of my tenancy. Landlord was consistently unresponsive to basic communications. It has been nearly a year since vacating and I have still not received my security deposit back, despite repeated follow-ups and a formal written demand.
Advice to the owners
Respond to your tenants. Address the pests, maintain the building properly, and return security deposits on time and in compliance with New York law. It has been nearly a year — return my deposit.
