Nice but noisy building
Pros
-Convenient location, proximity to R train, neighborhood has everything you need -Apartment itself is spacious and has large kitchen -Landlord is pretty responsive, we haven't had to contact him for much anyway
Cons
-Extremely noisy with slamming doors constantly, kids banging and pounding on the floor shaking the entire apartment, pounding up the stairs and yelling in the hallway, the neighbors leave their doors open all the time while they play music, cook and do dishes- can constantly hear their noise. The banging and crashing around is truly insane, I have never lived in a louder building in my life. -There is a drum store right next door so be prepared for drumming outside. The owner also plays music from a speaker often. The front of the building is very noisy with Union street being a busy and noisy street. -The buzzer system does not work. The buzzer is the loudest most invasive sound in the world, but you cannot let someone in when it rings so people just aggressively ring the bell a million times because there’s no way to communicate with them or let them in. People are constantly ringing all the buzzers to try to get into the building not knowing that it doesn’t work.
