Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on openigloo.
Recent reviews of 1120 St Johns Place in Brooklyn highlight a generally clean building with a helpful superintendent and quiet neighborhood. However, there are notable concerns about thin walls causing noise disturbances and inadequate pest control, particularly with persistent fly issues linked to poor garbage chute maintenance. Tenants express dissatisfaction with the building's management responsiveness, describing delays and lack of timely communication. Garbage management is frequently criticized for being poorly organized. While heating and water pressure receive moderate praise, overall value is questioned due to rent pricing and unresolved maintenance problems, making it less attractive for those prioritizing peace and responsive management.

Good for the most part, not worth the money
Former Tenant
Pros:
The building is always clean for the most part unless there was a party in the lounge. Never had any issues with my package. Neighbors are mid.
Cons:
Walls are super thin, you can hear your neighbors talking, grabbing dishes, sneezing, everything. If you WFH or value peace of mind don’t rent here. The super is cool in the beginning but doesn’t do nothing later on, you have to reach multiple times for maintenance request. There was a month where none of our messages delivered. Then popped up out of nowhere a month later.
Advice to owner:
Lower your rent price! Your are in Crown heights before
