Repairs are always made with used parts. If the super comes to fix he always leaves a mess and never cleans after. No ducting in bathrooms or kitchen. The building is old so the wooden floors are coming off. These walls were build before Sheetrock. Walls are practically plaster and some walls feel like they are about to come down any day. Windows are really old some won’t open and if they do not all the way. They use to clean the staircase and hallways weekly now we are lucky if it’s done twice a year. When it snows, the person who shovels does a horrible job. They make a small walkway about 2 feet wide at most and they don’t clean off the ice. The front door to the building never opens easily. You always have to play with the keys for about 30-45 seconds. Luckily I have never been in a situation that I was in danger or I’d be dead for sure. Previous owners use to have an exterminator come in almost every month because of the rats, small rodents and bugs. Since the new ownership started no exterminators have come to this building. The rat problem is bad and when I say rats I’m talking about rats over 14 inches long. They sometimes get inside during winter because like I said the walls are old so they manage to break through from time to time. The building is also infested with mice and roaches and other bugs.
Advice to owner:
Clean staircase and hallways more often. Stop trying to make repairs with used parts. Hire an exterminator.
