Worst building I have ever lived in
Pros
They approved me for an apartment and it was affordable; $1950 for a massive railroad apartment in a very beautiful brownstone.
Cons
--The downstairs neighbors were extremely dirty and refused pest control service, despite having an active german roach infestation. The infestation was so bad that german roach eggs were found in the apartment, including in the fridge, etc. -- The apartment had a mouse problem as well. -- The apartment had a bed bug problem which has not been reported on the annual HPD report; treatment occurred twice to no avail because the other tenants refused treatment. -- The downstairs neighbors made a lot of noise as well.
Advice to the owners
Management was unable to solve the problem. In the end, my lease was terminated after I reported the apartment to the city due to ongoing pest problems that originated from the beginning of my lease for 11 months.
