Owners Disregard Many Issues
Pros
Decent schools, decent access to public transit, more of a neighborhood feel, not bad for parking when it comes to PS, residents of building all have a sense of both respecting each other's privacy and communicating regarding issues.
Cons
Outside mgmt is fine, but owners are TERRIBLE! A homeless asst super has been squatting in the basement for years, smoking, drinking, and appears to be using drugs down there. Supposedly has been terminated but still shows up, creates messes that attract rodents and bugs, and his friends show up either drunk or high screaming his name down the driveway. More than one staggering around yelling his name. There is no security, half the buzzers are broken, and trying to get them to manage serious water leaks, having them locate rodent holes to plug up, or even securing basement doesn't happen. Literally HPD showed up and he cursed out the guy, so he left for fear of an incident.
Advice to the owners
Be responsible owners. Secure your building, manage rodents, get rid of squatter who must be indirectly feeding them. All your tenants are quiet and respectful, but one does half the super work, such as shoveling and changing lightbulbs in the hall. I buzz in FedEx and UPS all day because half the buzzers don't work.
