Great building and landlord!
Former Tenant
Pros:
Owner managed, responsive and kind people! Great location, quiet, safe.
Cons:
Not a lot of closet space, its an old building so there will occasionally be a leak or two. Landlord is generally responsive.

The King of Half-Assery
Former Tenant
Pros:
This is a lovely brownstone in Park Slope that, like so many others, has been cut into apartments with strange renovations. Beautiful crown molding, sturdy building, oceans of natural light. Cozy place with a fantastic kitchen.
Cons:
The property owner is legit the king of half-adding everything. He has a part time trash/cleaning guy who half-asses his job, he has a contractor who half-asses repairs, and he himself doesn’t know how to fix very many things rendering his services nearly useless. He is a nice guy though, so that’s something. There is also a Mandarin language barrier which can make things difficult with the contractor. The 1st floor landing is filled with items to fix the building and is unsightly. We’ve tried to get him to fix the front door numerous times but he just mutters something about the door being too old and needing to be replaced.
Advice to owner:
Quicker response times and better repairs so things don’t have to be “fixed” multiple times.
