Raised my rent by 12% after one year.

Pros:
Management responds for certain issues, but often requires follow up.
Cons:
They raised my rent by over 10% after one year. Do NOT rent with this landlord, your rent will be increased at renewal without any explanation or empathy! They are money hungry landlords that rent quasi-one bedrooms for $500 over market rate. So disappointed.
Advice to owner:
Don't raise the rent too much, keep your great tenants! Have some empathy for your quiet tenants that pay on time!

Landlord just wants to make a buck

Pros:
Lovely neighbors, super and management guys are nice and helpful.
Cons:
The landlord raised my rent $600 over two years during Covid, unacceptable. I had recurring mice issues and the appliances and cabinets are decades old; the rent increases are unjustified. The garbage bins were a disorganized mess and always unclear which were recycling vs trash.
Advice to owner:
Be reasonable with respect to rent increases and take care of the building

Pros:
Owners are very responsive, the building is well maintained, apartments are beautiful, prompt repairs when necessary, warm in the winter.
Cons:
Laundry room is 50/50 whether it’s going to work well, Nextdoor neighbor (he possibly moved out) plays super loud music that vibrates the building
Advice to owner:
Fix laundry room
