Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on openigloo.
Recent reviews of 353 12 Street highlight a well-maintained pre-war building in a quiet, charming neighborhood with friendly neighbors and attentive ownership. Cleanliness and garbage management are generally good, with consistent pest control efforts despite occasional issues such as bedbugs and mice. Apartments offer strong water pressure and decent heating, though noise concerns arise from paper-thin walls and closely mirrored unit layouts. Resident feedback emphasizes the need for improved soundproofing. Responsive owners and a safe environment with minimal package theft add to the appeal, but some renters hesitate to recommend due to noise and pest challenges.

Paper thin walls
Former Tenant
Pros:
Building is mostly quiet unless you have noisy neighbors. Building is well maintained and I never had a package stolen.
Cons:
Walls are absolutely paper thin, and I mean paper. Each unit is a studio and mirrored to your neighbors interior, so your bed is directly opposite your neighbors bed. You can imagine the noises.
Advice to owner:
Sound proofing material although it hasn’t helped me much

Well maintained pre-war building
Former Tenant
Pros:
Decently maintained pre-war building. Super lives next door and is very friendly. Owners at the time were very responsive with any issues or repairs. They hired a management company around the time I was moving out.
Cons:
Had some issues with mice and when they were renovating ground floor apartments but it’s expected and they had an exterminator come who also did regular quarterly visits.
Advice to owner:
