Review Summary for 352 St Johns Place
Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on openigloo.
Recent tenant reviews for 352 ST JOHNS PLACE in Brooklyn highlight a mix of experiences. While some appreciate kind neighbors, quiet surroundings, and responsive superintendents, others express concerns about unresponsive owners, pest issues, and maintenance lapses such as unpaid bills affecting common areas. Suggestions include regular exterminator visits and timely bill payments. Despite these challenges, the building's proximity to a park and responsive landlords have garnered positive feedback. However, the absence of online rent payment options is noted. Approval and recommendations vary, with room for improvement in management responsiveness and building maintenance.

Quiet, Friendly Building with Unresponsive Owners
Former Tenant
Pros:
-Kind neighbors
-Responsive Superintendent
-Quiet
Cons:
-Exterminator did not visit regularly, resulting in frequent cockroach issues
-Unresponsive building owners - never receive responses to complaints
-Electrical bill in common areas not paid (no heat or lights in common areas of the building)
Advice to owner:
I would recommend implementing basic building maintenance, including monthly visits from an exterminator and a process to pay the building's electrical bills in a timely manner so that tenants are not concerned that the heat and electricity will be shut off.

Beware of Slumlord
Former Tenant
Pros:
Location is good
Cons:
This building has serious issues and the landlord does not address any of them with speed or care. The landlord has lied to renters upon move-in and hasn’t disclosed ongoing bedbug infestations. Beyond that, the rodent situation is incessant (roaches and mice) and poorly managed. The entire building needs to new pipes, as water leakages continue to happen damaging the ceilings and walls and affecting the electrical in the apartments.
