It was an older building with original features.
The floors were creaky.
Maybe meet your tenants and have a conversation here and there. My other roommate who leased the apartment said she doesn't want me to contact the owner and potentially irritate him for wanting to fix the peak holes in the apartment. That should be basic stuff to ask.
