Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on openigloo.
Recent reviews for 48 Bleecker Street highlight the building's quiet location and added security features, like keypad access. However, tenants frequently report poor maintenance, slow and unresponsive management, and issues with heating, water quality, and pest control. Garbage management has improved but was historically a problem causing rat issues. Noise levels and neighbor relations vary, with some finding neighbors friendly and others dissatisfied. Lease processes and rent payment methods are considered outdated and inconvenient. While some appreciate the building's affordability and quiet atmosphere, many caution prospective renters due to maintenance shortcomings and landlord responsiveness problems.

Landlord doesnt care
Former Tenant
Pros:
Landlord doesnt care, so no one hassles you ever.
Cons:
Slow to respond landlord. The trash cans used to be uncovered so there were rats at night hanging out on them all the time. However they are now covered after a lot of insisting and the problem was solved. However, it still took a good amount of effort to get the landlord to do something about it, which is standard for new york but it shouldn't be the case
Advice to owner:
Faster response
