Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on openigloo.
Recent tenant reviews indicate mixed feedback for 355 Lefferts Avenue in Brooklyn. Positive aspects include the prewar structure, affordable price for a one-bedroom, convenient location by the subway, and friendly neighbors. However, concerns revolve around poor management responsiveness, cleanliness issues, noisy and inconsiderate neighbors, and maintenance delays. Suggestions include implementing a digital rent payment system, improving cleanliness, addressing noise disturbances, and enhancing maintenance efficiency. Despite these challenges, the building is recommended by some for its overall community vibe and helpful super but advised that improvements are needed for a better living experience.

For a rent stabilized unit, it’s pretty good
Former Tenant
Pros:
Prewar structure, the super is great, the price for a one bed, the street, the location
Cons:
The lack of response from management on any issue. And having to pay rent via check in the mail— it’s 2025, can we please get with the times?
Advice to owner:
Get a digital rent paying system, and reply to your tenants calls/emails

You can probably do better
Former Tenant
Pros:
Location right by the subway and Nostrand Ave. Elevator.
Cons:
Loud and inconsiderate neighbors. Trash in hallways, lobby, elevator regularly. Super does not speak conversational English and has sometimes taken more than a day to respond. Package theft on multiple occasions. Neighbors have reported electrical and other maintenance issues going unaddressed for months.
Advice to owner:
Clean up a bit and crack down on noise.
