Terrible landlord. One horrible neighborhood. Otherwise could have been good.

Pros:
the building is in a fairly good location and has good amenities for the price
Cons:
If you live here, you'll quickly see that the renovation was shoddy and things frequently fell apart. The management company was slow to respond to these issues. We had a horrible smelling hole in the ceiling of our apartment for weeks after a leak broke through from the unit above. Ants and mice too. The people living in the unit above us loudly abused each other and their dogs, which frequently urinated in the hallway (they would leave the urine, drying into sticky smelly patches). One of my roommates scammed ERAP, the landlord, and all of the co-tenants. She didn't pay her rent for the duration of the lease and the landlords wouldn't not help us fix the situation nor give us our security deposit back after we left.

first nyc apartment and couldn't have asked for a better one!

spacious, in-unit washer dryer, sunny space all around, rent stabilized
Cons:
right above a bar so sometimes it's loud at night
Advice to owner:
would appreciate more responsiveness from supers
