Okay- ish apartment
Former Tenant
Pros:
Kitchen is pretty big and it has 1.5 bathrooms
Cons:
Apartment has five bedrooms so all the roommates can get pretty old. Has no central AC so the whole apartment can get SUPER uncomfortably hot during the summer, especially when you're in the kitchen trying to cook. Yes, you could buy your own AC but the apartment itself just cultivates SO much heat. The lease is separate between each tenant, which is nice in its own way because you will not get in trouble if one person stops paying rent but you can't control who you live with. So I lived with a bunch of people who didn't clean up after themselves, didn't help out with house work and always left the garbage bags open--which made nasty garbage spill all over the place.
Advice to owner:
Do a better job with garbage pick up. Sometimes it was collecting for weeks, which made the whole building smell horrible. Let cleaner tenants live there as well. Also, allow existing tenants to interview and get to know the potential tenants moving in, instead of just stating that they're going to live there now.
