Horrendous conditions to live in
Pros
The neighborhood is cute and often quiet. There are not a ton of units in the building so it’s not claustrophobic.
Cons
I was left without heat for month, given a filthy room, mice, cracked windows and this lazy management company did nothing. They will move you in on top of each other like so many horrible NYC Landlords and then raise the rent $400 after a year. Avoid at all costs if you can.
Advice to the owners
Care more about the tenants you are renting to. You are greedy and callous.
Get ready for the Bare Minimum
Pros
Lower price point than surrounding area. If there are no problems with the building or otherwise, then there is no bother (i.e. landlord and super will not bug you)
Cons
Poorly managed. Have to fight to get repairs done. Had to file a city complaint for one repair that they failed to attend to, despite maintaining illegally cold temperatures in the building. Completely unprofessional communication or lack thereof (have been randomly texted by people claiming to be staff members). They stopped doing regular pest control appointments (now by special request only).
Advice to the owners
Learn to communicate professionally and through official channels.
