Newly renovated building, typical issues, terrible management
Pros
- Modern, newly renovated building, nice finishes and appliances (I was the first tenant to move into my unit post-renovation) - Affordable for the price (got a 2 bed, 2 bath for the same price apartments in the area charge for 2 bed 1 1-bath) - Entire building is mostly people in their 20's-30's, nice and friendly - no issues - Responsive and fast management regarding repairs
Cons
- Definitely can hear the subway from your apartment, being so close, but not terrible, and you do get used to it. - This might just be because we lived on the ground floor, but there were SO many bugs even though we kept the apartment spotless (centipedes, fruit flies, and since the building was new, I learned my bedroom window wasn't fully attached and in the summer I woke up to 20 dead flying ants on my floor for a week straight until we had someone fix it and put pesticide on the window). - Homeless people sleep on the steps of the building at least once a week, and have to sneak around them to get inside. - Garbage management is terrible, as it's right in front of the building, and people dig through the trash at night. There were several points where I would come home, and trash would be flying around the entrance. - Management was doing renovations in the basement, and for 2 weeks straight, I would hear intense drilling and yelling while trying to WFH. - TOOK 2 ENTIRE MONTHS TO GET SECURITY DEPOSIT BACK. They gave us multiple bounced checks; we literally had to harass the management every day until they finally wired it to us. Threatened to take them to small claims court.
Cute but loud (obviously)
Pros
each floor has a shared but free washer/dryer with one other apartment central air modern appliances
Cons
directly beside the myrtle/broadway m/j so obviously loud sound proofing between apartments not great
