Fine
Former Tenant
Pros:
Location and location
Cons:
Property owner stated in lease that rent should not be owed for portion of apartment that is not usable after destruction due to fire, but billed at the end of the lease for the unpaid rent.
Advice to owner:
Know your own contract and stop preying on renters security deposits.

Rent Controlled and Reasonably Nice
Former Tenant
Pros:
Nice backyard, affordable, no bedbug or roach problems in my time living here, maintenance requests get fulfilled reasonably.
Cons:
Have had flooding issues in the basement causing mold.
Advice to owner:
The basement could use a little love.

The Good and The Bad
Former Tenant
Pros:
Neighbors are respectful, neighborhood is great for socializing and nightlife, 2 out of the three rooms are high, rooms all have closets, hallway offers another closet, backyard is decent. Rent feels fair enough.
Cons:
Mold! The basement is full of mold and despite complaints the landlords have yet to do anything about it. In general when things need to be repaired the landlord follows through but the job done are done so cheaply things need to be repaired over and over again. Kitchen, living room, and the smallest bedroom get 0 natural light.
Advice to owner:
Please fix the mold issue! It’s effecting our health. And please hire competent repair men. I love living here and will stay for a very long time if these few complaints could be address.
