    Apartment was OK, landlord was horrible

    Pros:
    Smaller apartment at a premium price but the roof space had nice views
    Cons:
    Roof was in bad shape and ever time it rained every apartment had water in it. Floors had zero insulation in it, could hear everyone’s conversation when they talked that how bad they were. Landlord was total slumlord. Turns out he never got the building certified for occupancy after a year of everyone in the building paying him rent. First floor unit ended up being evicted by Red Cross due to black mold. Just all around disgusting property owner.

    Apartment leaked. Landlord scammed

    Pros:
    Close to the J train, nice cross breeze in the summer. Back of building quiet.
    Cons:
    Ceilings all leaked during rainstorm. Landlord took 2 years to fix. Landlord took entire year to get building certified by the city for occupancy. All while renting the entire building, illegally, to tenants. Landlord attempted to threaten several of the residents with false eviction notices. First floor unit leaked so much that tenants were kicked out by the city due to dangerous mold conditions.
    Advice to owner:
    You are aware of the scams ran for this property.
