Avoid basement unit

Pros:
Large unit, central A/C, backyard access
Cons:
Bottom floor of this duplex unit repeatedly flooded. Owner would ignore complaints until escalated via 311. Black mold problems. Heating and cooling expenses are absurd due to faulty building wiring/poor insulation. No drainage in backyard so it is a breeding ground for mosquitoes. Green mold visibly growing on outside of unit. Unit not deep cleaned after previous tenant moved out.
