Slumlords with Disdain for Tenants

Pros:
Good amount of space
Returned deposit

Cons:
Neighbors in upstairs apartment were consistently in violent arguments. This resulted in guns being brought into the building, knives being pulled in the hallway, our front door being smashed, and the owners would do nothing about these neighbors.
We also had rats in the walls and the ceiling. Nothing was done.
We never got a working in either the basement or in the bedroom
Very rarely cleaned garbage was constantly overflowing.
Two businesses took up half of the buildings first floor and invited bad business, including violent customers.
This was not a safe building to live in

It COULD be good

Nice space, thick walls (between units), brick walls, close to businesses
Cons:
Violent neighbors, rats in walls and ceilings, poor response from management to repairs, poor cooling (central air)
Advice to owner:
Get rid of the rats and reprimand nuisance tenants for violent,
