Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on openigloo.
Reviews for 903 Dekalb Avenue reflect mixed experiences. Many tenants praise the building's spacious units, balconies, elevator, and decent heating. Some highlight responsive maintenance, especially for pest control and quick repairs. However, cleanliness and pest control remain concerns for others, with a few complaints about slow owner responsiveness. Noise levels vary, as do perceptions of neighborhood safety, particularly at night. Garbage management is generally well-regarded, but storage space inside apartments is limited. While some appreciate the quiet neighbors and amenities, others find the surrounding area less desirable. Prospective renters should weigh these factors based on personal priorities regarding location and building upkeep.

Good management bad area
Former Tenant
Pros:
Maintenance was responsive and great- we had a baby roach issue that got resolved with my Advion gel bait (I already had) and the maintenance coming in and caulking gaps. Unclogged sink and tub for free. No other pest issues while I was here. Elevator and laundry were great. Neighbors inside building were few and quiet!
Cons:
Far from subway and area is fairly dirty, sometimes loud at night. Walking home late at night wasn't bad but scary as a single woman in her 20s.
Advice to owner:
The building itself is fine, I don't think the owner can do anything about the surrounding location haha
