Pros:
well cared for by the super with day to day things like trash
Cons:
poorly renovated. ceiling almost collapsed under water damage. there was no vent hood for the stove. landlord hard to reach and cannot receive pictures over text or email

properly and safely renovate the building

Pros:
The location was great, and the unit was very large.
Cons:
The landlord was always slow to respond to reported issues and did the bare minimum to resolve them. He failed to disclose a persistent problem with bed bugs in the building to current and prospective tenants. The listing said that the building allowed pets, but he refused to allow my roommate to get a dog. I moved out over a month ago, and he still hasn't returned the security deposit.
Advice to owner:
If you're not willing to take on the responsibilities of being a landlord, find another occupation.
