Avoid at all costs
Former Tenant
Pros:
Spacious loft apartments, access to all amenities across the street.
Cons:
Overpriced, dishonest and sneaky property managers, lots of roaches, ceiling leaks

So much noise and difficult management
Former Tenant
Pros:
Not many. The super lives on site.
Cons:
Yelling and beating noises heard from the apartment next to me. Also incessant whining on and off from multiple dogs. The landlord doesn’t do anything about it and is not responsive. The walls are paper thin and you can hear peoples conversations and loud dog barking.

Maitenance was often slow but overall a good management
Former Tenant
Pros:
I had to badger the maintenance man all the time to get things done.
Cons:
The management teams was always very responsive. The trash was always picked up on time. The water pressure was pretty good, often ran out of hot water.
Advice to owner:
Stay on top of management team.

Infuriatingly inconsiderate tenants
Former Tenant
Pros:
High ceilings are nice. Trash and mail situation is good. Building is responsive about easy to solve handy issues. Conveniently near Bedford Nostrand G. There are some crawlies but an exterminator comes around regularly. Access to the sister building across the street is nice – the app-based laundry, bike storage, usable gym, and rec spaces in that building are great amenities to have access to. 70 Kosciuszko however offers a much worse overall living situation.
Cons:
Construction recently started just across the street. Messy communication during move-in. The person who originally gave me a tour mentioned the floors would be restained before I moved in – never happened. Unit wasn't ready for move-in on time. We had agreed on a move-in date. I wanted to start moving things on that morning. The landlord notified me that cleaning wouldn't be done until the evening of the date we had previously agreed on. I arrived when he said to and it was still being cleaned. The building apologized and agreed to adjust the first month 's rent for the day I lost, but they did not remember to honor this until I emailed them. I moved in halfway through the month and they were supposed to prorate the first invoice. They botched this and attempted to invoice a full month's rent which was either careless or scammy on their part. Large loft windows aren't great in the winter since glass surfaces allow lots of heat to escape and cold to come in, but this isn't something that can really be fixed, just something to be aware of. My biggest issue with this property are the current tenants. Some people here are incredibly rude and inconsiderate and spoil things for those on the ground floor living near entrances. The noise is unbearable at times. The building entrance doors buzz, slam loudly, and shake the building. There is a couple that fights and screams at each other. There is a dog that sounds like it's suffering all day. Some tenants are repeatedly coming in and out almost every night to smoke or take dramatic phone calls on the sidewalk right in front of the building. They're not quiet or respectful of others' privacy. They lean on windows and cast shadows in your unit. They largely ignore you if you ask them to move and act like you're the negative energy in the building. A group of them mocked me after I tapped my window to try to make them aware that they were invading my privacy. The building has repeatedly shrugged off my concerns about noise over the last four months and has done nothing towards putting an end to the sidewalk-socials. At some point the building needs to take a stand, communicate to tenants that this problem exists, and enforce a no-tolerance policy. Currently I'm forced to choose whether to deal with it on my own. For what you pay, this building is currently not worth it.
Advice to owner:
Get the noise under control. Do something to make the entrance doors not slam so loud.

Lived here for a year
Former Tenant
Pros:
Excellent Roof access (you will have access to three roofs), good amenities, safe package delivery
Cons:
Trash room could be more organized to better distinguish recycling from trash
Over 2 years ago
Just moved in but loving it
Former Tenant
Pros:
Amenities such as laundry and gym plus tons of outdoor space. I have a rooftop terrace to myself but connected to other peoples.
Cons:
Management often comes through my private rooftop area without warning. There are garbage rooms on each floor which sometimes smell up the hallway. Construction is starting right across the street.
Advice to owner:
Inform tenants when you will be passing through or doing work in their private outdoor spaces to maintain privacy. Consider reducing rent or offering deals due to the pandemic and people being out of work and also fleeing the city.
