Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on openigloo.
Recent reviews for 325 Gates Avenue, Brooklyn reveal a building with attractive features like rooftop spaces, pet-friendly policy, gym, parking, and modern layouts with ample light. However, tenants consistently report severe management issues: unresponsive building staff, poor maintenance, slow repairs, and inadequate security measures. Noise levels are high due to rowdy neighbors and thin walls, making it challenging to live peacefully. Package theft and unsafe party crowds on the roof are prominent safety concerns. Though some appreciate the amenities and location, many caution prospective renters due to ongoing management neglect and building upkeep problems, advising a professional management overhaul for improvement.

PARTIES EVERYDAY WITH BOUNCERS AND POSTED ON IG
Former Tenant
Pros:
The ROOF is a great place to relax, if you can use it. Everyday there is a note about a party. The have 60-100 people. Who come and trash the place and smoke and drink and get drunk. I called management and they send a vague note to residents and the same damn night there is a party. People give the door code out and I have a video of someone coming un our building and stole two packages. Its unsafe when you don't ever know what you walk out of your door into. Its a really nice apartment, but its unlivable due to all of this mess
Cons:

There are so many empty units because as soon as they move in and realize what a crappy situation they have gotten themselves into they leave!
Advice to owner:
A doorman! A super on site. So the residents can feel safe. TELL THE RESIDENTS UPON MOVING IN THAT THE ROOF IS NOT A PUBLIC PARTY VENUE. THEY HAVE PARTIES AND THEY GIVE OUR CCESS CODE TO THE OUTSIDE STRANGERS> THEY COME BACK AFTER AND STEAL FROM US.

Not Renewing my lease
Former Tenant
Pros:
Building is pet friendly and pretty clean. The rooftop is nice in the summer and the apartment itself is nice (just small).
Cons:
the building manager is horrible, you will never get a hold of him and maintenance issues take weeks, sometimes months to fix. ConEd bills are insane ($200-300/month for like 500 sq ft) and the heat does not even work. There are COLD drafts from the windows in the winter. Closets are also very small.
Advice to owner:
Hire a new property Manager.
