Nothing good to say

Where to begin. When we moved in were told one price and after paying our first month's rent we were told it was an additional hundred dollars for utilities. Then every year after tried to raise the rent above the legal limit in NYC. Did not give us the required sixty days that is required by law that rent was being raised. The unit is listed as a two family home, yet there are five leases on the building (illegal). The repairs are never repairs only band aids/temporary. They (landlords) think the tenants are dumb and aren''t aware of our rights. Wendy will increase your rent every year but does not have the courage to call you that she is doing that, she will send Lyndon to do so. Your rent goes to subsidize their home in Princeton, NJ. All the door knobs are old and will fall off eventually and leave you locked out or locked in. The electrical is the worst and the lights flicker because therei are too many things running in the house; it not safe in my opinion. It's a lovely old brownstone that needs a lot of work and they are not the owners for it. I ended up fixing many things in the unit and only reimbursed once. It is Brooklyn/NYC so someone will rent it I just wanted to let people out there what to expect.
Advice to the owners
Sell it to someone else
