sketchy landlord

Pros:
great tenants, beautiful street, amazing location
Cons:
the landlord, no super in building, tenants are expected to take out the trash themselves, issues are extremely slow to resolve, heating doesnt work
Advice to owner:
have someone responsible for the trash, responsive to issues, and manage the property better

Nice period details, convenient location, beautiful street
Cons:
Unresponsive super rarely replies, and doesn't fix things in a timely way. Landlord is also often unresponsive, and hides behind corporations to make it difficult to work out what is going on.

Think Before Renting

Pros:
This building is on a great street and convenient to trains and buses
Cons:
Landlord is a range from unresponsive to verbally combative and this building is dismally managed. No mailbox for tenants (good luck getting paper mail and packages often stolen, no super regularly taking care of the garbage etc., and at one point there was a roach problem that they neglected in one unit and spread throughout the building. Water temperature fluctuates constantly and heat only works out of some radiators. Appliances that are broken go months without fixing— or don't get fixed at all.
