what we expected from a new build
Pros
Location is great. Apartments are pretty sound proof (other than the slamming stairwell doors- hard to conceal that noise) building super is very nice and responsive. apartments have good light.
Cons
As i said above- the stairwell doors slam constantly and owners ignored requests for soft closes on them. its clear how cheap all finishes in the apartment are. the large windowsills make zero sense- impossible to get to the knob to open them so you cant use the windowsill as storage or decor. no screens. the combined laundry is horrible and takes over 6 hours to do a load and is load and shaking the floor and counters the whole time. neighbors all ignore each other. building management run through a nested LLC- impossible to get a real person who knows anything. rentcafe is buggy and autopay doesnt work and will randomly reject your rent and then youll get charged a late fee. packages stolen from the lobby. stairwalls and hallways never cleaned.
