Review Summary for 275 Park Ave
Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on openigloo.
Recent reviews for 275 Park Ave, Brooklyn, reveal a building with spacious, uniquely renovated units and a dog-friendly environment offering a strong sense of community among neighbors. However, persistent issues surface around management’s lack of responsiveness, ongoing, noisy construction, and frequent maintenance problems including unreliable heat, poor water pressure, pest infestations, and water leaks. The rooftop amenity is often closed, and the building struggles with security concerns and disturbances from commercial tenants. Rent prices are considered high given these drawbacks. Overall, despite the building's potential and location, renters caution about poor management and unresolved infrastructure issues impacting quality of life.

It Ain’t The Sweet Life in this Chocolate Factory
Former Tenant
Pros:
Dog friendly.
Convenient location.
Some of the units are quite spacious.
Newly renovated units have in-unit washers and dryers.
When it’s open, there’s a nice roof deck.
Depending on the unit, you don’t really hear your neighbors.
The live performance venue that was in the building has now closed.
Cons:
The property management company is not very responsive and neither is the building superintendent.
Management doesn't care about people riding bicycles, scooters and e-bikes through the building's courtyard.
There's been ongoing renovations in the building for the past five years.
There have previously been a number of incidents of grand theft auto from the garage in the building.
The heat from the baseboard heaters in the building is inconsistent.
The claim is that it's a "luxury building" but those are just empty words.
Advice to owner:
Show that you care about the “valued residents” of the building, not just what you can do in order to flip the building for a profit.
