Very difficult landlord
Pros
1) well maintained building 2) reasonable price 3) convenient location
Cons
1) landlord is very difficult to deal with 2) landlord is not respectful of tenant/ landlord boundaries in terms of communication or physical presence 3) landlord thinks their preferences are the law and does not abide by fair housing laws 4) landlord completely disregards the lease agreement
Advice to the owners
Treat this as a business. Personal preferences to not trump the law.
